Renaissance Engineering - Historical & Listed building

Project Description

This project was the full restoration of the historical headquarters of the Harland & Wolff shipbuilders headquarters to the new Titanic Hotel.

This building has many architectural features that had to be maintained, while newer modern heating, cooling, electrical, lighting and electronic systems were installed.

An example is the drawing office, which is now the main restaurant. Renaissance re-used the existing over 100 year old radiators, which were reconditioned, to provide the heating for this room. We additionally installed feature de-stratification fans to distribute the heat to all parts of the room. These fans are also used to distribute the cooled air, that is fed in through the existing louvres in the vaulted glazed ceiling.
